Grantown on Spey B&B Guesthouse Accommodation

Rosehall Guest house is ideally placed in the square and many amenities are a short walk away. The town itself is a fine example of 18th century planning and the Georgian town square has pleasant grassed areas with seating for visitors and residents to sit and relax, enjoying the frequent highland sunshine. The High Street leads off from the square and is a wide main road providing an ample selection of good quality shops and restaurants.

In the evening many visitors like to take an evening stroll, but should they require it local live entertainment is on offer within easy walking distance of our hotel. The Grantown museum is well worth a visit, and tells how the town became Scotland's first planned town back in 1765, thanks to the effort of the 'Good Sir James'.

Fantastic scenery surrounds Rosehall and all our rooms look out over the square. There are often weekend events in the square when visitors and townsfolk turn out to enjoy the afternoon. Take a walk through the woods that lead to the river Spey, and during your walk you might spot a red squirrel. Some very interesting plant life and fungi can be noted too.

Explore the Highlands of Scotland

Grantown on Spey is ideally situated as a touring base.

Visitors are attracted to the area because of the sheer breadth of its leisure choice, including the Cairngorms National Park. Aviemore (approx 15 miles) and Inverness (approx 30 miles) are just short drives away from the guest house accommodation.

Take a trip to Balmoral, Braemar, the spectacular scenery of Royal Deeside is a relaxing drive and can be made in a day. The Cairngorm mountain Experience and of course we must not forget Nessie, just an hour's drive away.

The whisky trail must not be missed, so too the area is famous for its magnificent castles, we suggest Ballindalloch Castle, Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield just a little further but well worth a visit.

You will enjoy the magnificent Highland Scenery wherever you decide to visit.

Activities in the Highlands of Scotland

Walking . Aviemore hosts a Walking Festival in May and we are surrounded by forest trails. For more serious walkers there's a superb selection of Munros, Corbetts and Donalds.

Cycling - Bikes can be hired and there are good cycle paths both off road and through the woods. Sailing, canoeing and windsurfing are available at the Loch Inch & Loch Morlich centres. There is a wealth of Golf courses, from recreational to championship.

Great News for Golfers

The River Spey offers some of Scotland's finest salmon and trout fishing and close at hand you can try Clay Pigeon shooting, and archery.

The list is indeed endless but you will discover for yourself
